Retirement of Dipl.-Ing. Norbert Ritschl

On January 19, 2023, a ceremonial farewell to the retirement of Dipl.-Ing. Norbert RITSCHL took place.

Prof. GOGER hands over two bottles of wine to DI RITSCHL.

For 25 years Dipl.-Ing. Norbert Ritschl has taught future managers in the construction industry the necessary basic knowledge of occupational safety at the Institute of Construction Process and Construction Economics in the lecture "Safety and environment protection at building sites" together with a team of lecturers.

As a long-time employee for Labor Law in the Central Labor Inspectorate section of the Federal Ministry for Social Affairs, he was involved in improving occupational safety in construction, which became necessary due to Austria's accession to the European Union in 1995. Particularly noteworthy are the provisions of the Employee Protection Act (ASchG), the Construction Workers Protection Ordinance (BauV) and the Construction Work Coordination Act (BauKG). These legal regulations made new demands on the employer in the course of workplace evaluation and on the client with the coordination of the construction of buildings.

In this way, the latest developments in employee protection regulations could be conveyed to the listeners and a lasting contribution to accident prevention could be made.

The Institute for Construction Management and Economics would like to thank Dipl.-Ing. Norbert Ritschl for his 25 years of service and wishes him all the best for his future retirement!
