We represent the interests of all colleagues and are committed to ensuring a pleasant, fair, and safe working environment at TU Wien.

Main Focus

  • Know the law. Can my manager refuse my vacation request? Questions about retirement or long-term illness? We help you understand your rights and obligations and provide comprehensive advice.
  • Resolve conflicts. Unfair treatment, discrimination, or excessive workloads can affect anyone. We listen and support you — independently, competently, and in strict confidence.
  • Fair pay and equal opportunities. Correct and fair classification, even with growing areas of responsibility, further training, and new career paths – regardless of employment type, age, gender, care responsibilities, and disability.
  • Clear and transparent communication. Regular and understandable information about the work and offers of the works council.
  • Better work-life balance. More flexibility for care responsibilities, extended care leave, and reliable childcare options.
  • Flexible teleworking. Working from home often fails due to a lack of acceptance on the part of managers. We support you in this.
  • Staying healthy at work. Expansion of preventive care and health services, free vaccinations, occupational psychological support, and measures against overload.
  • Works agreements and guidelines. We actively participate and engage in dialogue with colleagues and university management to achieve improvements and secure what has been achieved.
  • Expansion and securing of social benefits. Klimaticket and Wiener Linien annual ticket, Edenred vouchers, days off, appreciation for 40 years of service in the collective agreement.
