Spatial Planning Positions on the Climate Crisis (2022W)
As part of the seminar, the students focussed on a variety of spatial planning aspects and shed new light on them with a particular attention to the climate crisis. The outcome was a range of exciting contributions in very different formats.
Part of the seminar was a three-day stay at the "Landuni" in Drosendorf. Together with lecturers Dragana Damjanovic and Sibylla Zech, the 15 students travelled to Drosendorf Castle in the Waldviertel region. They spent time on site working on their projects and formulating their own positions on the climate crisis as part of the course "Spatial planning positions on the climate crisis". The course days were filled with discussions and lectures on the topic, as well as independent group work. The students were faced with the challenge of taking a clear position and pursuing it further in the course of their work. Through the exchange with the lecturers and within the groups, the analyses could be deepened and the desired results could be elaborated on.
The grand finale was a joint final event of the two seminars "Coming to terms: Climate crisis" and "Spatial planning positions on the climate crisis". We were delighted to welcome many guests as exciting pitches were held and in-depth-discussions in a "Fishbowl" format took place. In the event, the products of the seminar were displayed.
