Professor Roger Brownsword will give a lecture at the Vienna Legal Salon on April 26, 2023 at TU Wien. The Vienna Legal Salon offers space for international and research-led exchange on the role of law in shaping sustainable social structures. The aim is a lively debate on the topics of planning, innovation and transformation - through thought-provoking approaches, controversial theses and appreciative criticism.

At the 2nd edition of the Vienna Legal Salon, Roger Brownsword, Professor at King's College London, will give a keynote speech. He conducts research in the fields of technology law, legal theory and bioethics as well as contract and general civil law. His numerous publications are widely known in the English-speaking world, some of his recent books are Law, Technology and Society: Reimagining the Regulatory Environment (2019), Technology, Governance and Respect for the Law: Pictures at an Exhibition (2022) and Law, Regulation and Governance in the Information Society (co-authored with Maurizio Borghi, 2023). His latest book will be published later this year and is entitled Technology, Humans and Discontent with Law: The Quest for Better Governance. Professor Brownsword is a founding editor of the journal Law, Innovation and Technology.

The Legal Salon will take place on April 26 at 6 pm at Argentinierstraße 8, 1040 Vienna. Bread and wine will be provided!
