Digitization has an impact on space! This is particularly evident in the areas of traffic / mobility, energy and spatial development. Data play a central role in this, because they are the basis for digital spatial planning concepts, such as applications that are intended to improve the flow of traffic. This data is often held by private companies. However, they are needed by the (public) institutions responsible for the planning. The following questions are therefore legally interesting: Who does the data belong to? Is there a right to data access? Are data relating to specific persons protected? These questions and more will be worked out in the seminar on the basis of civil law and data (protection) law.
