René Ziegler

René Ziegler studied architecture at the TU Wien and the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Santiago de Chile. His journey from architecture to spatial planning began with an assistantship at the Research Unit of Local Planning. From 2010 until 2021 he taught and practiced planning as a design task, making space less a question of scale and more a question of perspective. In doing so, he poses this demand towards dialogue-oriented planning processes and plans themselves. He repeatedly highlights the necessity of maps as a navigational aid and graphic protocol in a process .
