The winners of each international Falling Walls Lab qualify for the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin, which is held every year on 8 November and is closely connected to the annual and international renowned Falling Walls Conference, taking place on 9 November. At the Conference 20 top-class scientists from around the world present their current breakthrough research answering the question “Which are the next walls to fall?”. We are pleased to announce that this year a Falling Walls Lab will be hosted in Vienna.

The Falling Walls Lab Vienna is hosted by the MFPL and the Vienna BioCenter and takes place on 4th June at IMBA lecture hall (Campus Vienna Biocenter, Dr.-Bohr-Gasse 3). Applications can be made through the website <link www.falling-walls.com/lab _blank>www.falling-walls.com/lab</link> The Application Deadline closes by 16th May, 2014. The most intriguing presenter will qualify directly for the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin. The Falling Walls Foundation covers the accommodation for the 8-9 November in Berlin. Also, all participants of the Finale receive a ticket for the Falling Walls Conference.

In order to spread the news of the Falling Walls Lab Vienna to the most excellent candidates, we would greatly appreciate if you could forward our call for applications to young researchers and professionals within the networks of your institution.
