Gert de Roo: A Planner?s Encounter with Complexity

Prof. Gert de Roo is spatial planner and advisor to bodies such as the EU, the Dutch government and various regions on issues of decentralization and regionalization. He is interested in a wide range of fields, including decision-making processes surrounding interventions in the living environment. In addition, de Roo contributes to the debate on planning theory, focusing in particular on the interrelationship between modernist and post-modernist planning. He is also interested in the ?fuzzy? relationships that play a role in planning.
