19th International ACM/IEEE Conference on Parallel Architectures and Compilation Techniques (PACT 2010)

Konferenz

The International Conference on Parallel Architectures and Compilation Techniques (PACT) is the premier international forum for the presentation of research results in parallel computing. As a multi-disciplinary conference bringing together researchers from the hardware and software areas, PACT invites researchers and practitioners in parallel systems to present their ground-breaking research related to parallel systems ranging across instruction-level parallelism, thread-level parallelism,  multiprocessor parallelism and large scale systems.  This year the conference will be held in Vienna,
Austria, one of Europe's most historic cultural centers.

This year's conference features 46 outstanding papers accepted from a record 266 submissions, a reflection of the importance of parallel systems and parallel systems science, to be presented at the
technical conference from Monday, September 13 to Wednesday, September 15.  In addition to the paper presentations, the conference will also host a poster session to provide an additional forum for the exchange of lead edge research results.  This year, PACT will also host the ACM Student Research Competition to provide undergraduate and graduate student researchers to showcase their work.

PACT 2010 is honored to host 3 distinguished keynote speeches on the most recent developments in parallel systems hardware, software and applications:

  • Dr. David Ferrucci, IBM T.J. Watson Research Center: Build Watson: An Overview of DeepQA for The Jeopardy! Challenge
  • Prof. Wen-mei Hwu, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign: Raising the Level of Many-Core Programming with Compiler Technology meeting a grand challenge
  • Prof. Keshav Pingali, University of Texas at Austin: Towards a Science of Parallel Programming

Additional information on the conference, and on workshops and tutorials co-located with it, is available through the conference homepage.
