In addition he got a grant by the "Japan Society for the Promotion of Science" enabling a research-year abroad at the Hitotsubashi University Tokyo (Japan) also in the year 2005. Later - due to an Erwin Schrödinger Fellowship - he could arrange a PostDoc stay at the Université de Caen (France) between 2007-2009. In the year 2011 he obtained his Venia Docendi, thus qualifiying him to teach in the area of Algebra, with his habilitation "More clones on infinite sets, opens an external URL in a new window". Finally in 2017 Michael Pinsker applied successfully for a tenure-track position at TU Wien in the research area Algebra, which he successfully completed in 2020.
