Every employee is entitled to request a written reference (final reference) when terminating an employment relationship.

The employee can also request a reference, known as an interim reference, during a legitimate employment relationship.

Issuing an interim reference does not affect the entitlement to a final reference.

To help you formulate a reference, we have provided in this section all the information you need for creating references and interim references, together with sample references.

Should you have any questions, the relevant Advisors of the Academic Personnel Service Unit will be happy to help.

Additional information on references can be found here.
