Networked industrial productions need suitable system architectures that take into account safety (no danger from the operation of the system) and security (protection against unauthorized manipulation). As part of the "TÜV AUSTRIA Research Lab for Safety and Security in Industry (#SafeSecLab)", questions on this topic are being researched within the framework of eight dissertation projects, until mid-2025, at TU Wien. By winning the support of TÜV AUSTRIA experts and involving industry stakeholders, both industry-related research and its transfer into industrial practice are simultaneously secured.
