FH-Prof. DI Dr. techn. Bernhard Rüger since 3 October 2022 new career position holder (tenure track) at the Research Unit of Track-bound Transportation Systems

FH-Prof. DI Dr. techn. Bernhard Rüger has been teaching and researching as a career position holder (tenure track) at the Institute of Transportation, Research Unit of Track-bound Transportation Systems at the TU Wien (successor to Prof. Ostermann) since 3 October 2022.

Bernhard Rüger studied civil engineering at the TU Wien, where he graduated in 2000 and received his doctorate in technical sciences in 2004 with a dissertation on the topic of "Luggage in Railway Transport". From 2001, Rüger was employed as a university assistant at the Institute of Railway Engineering at the TU Wien, and since 2009 he has been a UAS lecturer at the Department of Railway Technology and Mobility at St. Pölten UAS. Dr. Rüger has been managing director of netwiss OG since 2008.

His areas of expertise include railway engineering in its holistic view and, in particular, the comprehensive consideration of the complex interface "human - railway system".
