EPTS Summer School 2024, Maribor (Slovenia)

Institute for Transport and Logistics Management at WU Vienna, the Austrian Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the University of Maribor are organizing a summer school for the first time as part of the European Platform of Transport Sciences (EPTS).

Join our Summer School, opens an external URL in a new window in Maribor, Slovenia, focusing on accessible, barrier-free, inclusive cross-border transport. Together with  experts, individuals with disabilities, and students of different disciplines, we shall explore how to create a barrier-free system for all. Through lectures and workshops, we shall design an accessible network benefiting everyone. Of course, there will be also enough time for socialising and to get in touch with the culture and people.

Your personal advantage: Each participant will obtain a certificate of participation with 3 ECTS credits, which you may get recognised at your home university.

When?

  • Virtual part: 24. June and 12 July 2024.
  • Physical part: from 1 July to 5 July 2024
    (University of Maribor, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Architecture, Slomškov trg 1 & Krekova ulica 2)

Costs:

Accommodation and travel are to be covered by the participants,

BUT: Erasmus+ grant provides 70 EUR/day for physical mobility plus two extra travel days (if you use them). University of Maribor offers dormitory accommodation (140 EUR for summer school duration) and one free meal per day. No tuition fees for lectures/workshops; organizer provides materials, excursions, and coffee breaks.
