Holidays and preview January/February

In preparation for the upcoming holiday and holiday period, we would like to inform you about the planned access and residential mode at the TU Wien.

It is important to note that we will continue to adhere to the already known, current TUW regulations and corona protection measures, opens in new window!

Building access

Vacation operation Christmas holidays: From Saturday, 18 December 2021 to Friday, 07 January 2022, only the respective main entrances (Mon - Sat 06:00 - 23:00, Sundays and public holidays closed) will be open at the five TUW locations, where you can pass the 2.5 G access controls.

Vaccination Point TU Wien and TISS-G Upload

Remember the offer for the booster vaccination (3rd part corona vaccination) at the TUW Vaccination Point where the holiday opening hours have been adjusted:

  • 24.12.21: 08 - 12 h
  • 25. + 26.12.21: closed
  • 31.12.21: 08 - 12 h
  • 01.01.22: closed

Note: As of 06 December 2021, the validity period of vaccination certificates has been reduced to 270 days, i.e. please check your TISS proof and re-upload your vaccination certificate in TISS if necessary to update the proof period.

January 2022

As of Monday 10 January 2022, we will resume planned university operations at TU Wien (hybrid teaching and examination mode, internal and external events) in compliance with the legal framework in force at that time. Marked side entrances of the TUW buildings will be open again in addition to the main entrances for passing the 2.5 G access control.

As the number of infections is predicted to rise again in January, we recommend that all persons take a PCR test before returning to their workplace or place of study. TU members can still pick up gargle test kits from the security boxes at any time.

February 2022

Holiday semester break:  From Saturday, 29 January 2022 to Monday, 28 February 2022, only the respective main entrances (Mon - Sat 06:00 - 23:00, Sundays and public holidays closed) will again be open at the five TUW locations, where you can pass the 2.5 G access controls.

Thanks to your prudent cooperation and the responsible actions of all groups of people at TU Wien, the situation at our university is stable and safe. It is nice to see that the cohesion within the TUW community is unbroken.
