Fürsatz’s research stay

The topic of her talk summarized her PhD thesis and focused on the influence of bed material and fuel ash on the catalytic activity observed during gasification. She observed that the catalytic activity could be either optimised by the use of catalytically active bed materials or fuel ash layers forming on the bed material.

During the conference a wide field of different topics regarding biomass were presented ranging from the use of biomass as materials, from the use in energy production, the impacts on climate and many more. Sadly, this conference was online, so networking and exchanging with likeminded researchers was not possible to the usual degree.
