Short title: EIT Manufacturing 2021 ENHANCE

Long title: strENgtHening skills and training expertise in humAN maChinE interaction

Duration: 01.01.2021 – 31.12.201

Allocation to IMW's research priorities:

  • Human-Robot Interaction
  • Safety and Security
  • Digital Learning

Motivation:

Due to the rapid development in the field of human-machine collaboration and especially in the practical use of collaborative robots, experts and professionals from the manufacturing industry are facing new challenges. They are confronted with safety and application issues that require very specific skills and knowledge of norms and standards. However, they often lack opportunities to expand their competencies.

Results:

The project addresses these two groups and sets new standards for lifelong learning. Modular training is being developed, consisting of digital compact learning paths and practical on-site workshops. The training builds on basic knowledge of production control and planning and enables participants to develop the necessary knowledge for implementing collaborative and mobile robots in existing or new processes.
