Green Pipe - Development of an energy-efficient cooling method by utilising the exhaust heat of the pipe extrusion process

Abstract: The aim of this project was the development of an energy-efficient cooling method for the pipe extrusion process. With this method the energy demand of refrigeration engines decreases, while the available free cooling increases, the required pumping capacity is being reduced and the exhaust heat is being utilised by increasing the return temperature of the cooling medium.
