Vegetables don't just grow in the warm months. This is the key message that Wolfgang Palme from City Farm Augarten, opens an external URL in a new window gave us, because winter crops are often underestimated. From garden cress and various lettuces to cabbage and radishes, winter has a lot to offer. In a half-day workshop organized by the Geo Green Team, ten department members learned a lot about sustainable and year-round vegetable cultivation and ended up planting their own balcony boxes. We hope for a big harvest.
