[Translate to English:] Portrait Tijana Lavajkovic

I am a postdoctoral researcher (Universitätsassistentin) in Research Unit of the Applied Statistics (ASTAT) at the Institute of Statistics and Mathematical Methods in Economics, Faculty of Mathematics and Geoinformation at Technische Universität Wien (TU Wien).

I have a degree in Pure and Applied Mathematics, a Ph.D. in Mathematics and a Habilitation in Mathematics. Prior to my appointment at the TU Wien, I held a postdoctoral position at the Department of Mathematics, Leopold-Franzens University of Innsbruck where I was Deputy Professor-Chair Stochastic during the summer semester 2013. I was also an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Traffic and Transport Engineering at University of Belgrade.

My research interests are stochastic analysis, stochastic optimisation, spectral methods, statistics and applied mathematics. I made contributions in: stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs) and their related optimal control problems, numerical solution of SPDEs, statistical inference for stochastic processes as well as in some of their applications in finance, biology, medicine, science and engineering.

The complete list of my publications is available here.

I have extensive teaching experience in a broad range of environments. Particularly, in the areas of statistics and stochastics.

This term, I am teaching

If you want to talk to me please write me an email or come to my office DB 04 B2 on Mondays between 11:30 and 12:30.
