Mission statement and tasks

Building informatics is the core competence of the Civil Engineering Computer Laboratory.

• In our seminars, we provide up-to-date knowledge on the application of software relevant to civil engineering and offer excellent students a sound education.

• We see ourselves as a competence centre in the field of building informatics and are available as a reliable partner for business and science.

• We focus on the training and further education of our employees, an attractive job with challenging and autonomous activities. We consider an adequate social environment as lived values and the basis of our daily work.

We take on the following tasks as a service institution for the faculty:

• Training in the use of software specific to civil engineering

• Assistance with computer-aided simulation and modelling in civil engineering

• Provision of hardware and support for the organisational units in their IT-based courses

• Supporting the organisational units with e-learning courses

• Support and advice in IT matters
