Biological fluids are involved in most processes in the human body. We are an interdisciplinary team of researchers who combine their expertise on biomedical design, fluid dynamics, membrane technology, production methods to study the dynamics of biofluids, fluid-structure interaction, and the development and optimization of biomedical devices to augment or replace human organs in case of pathologies.

The BiofluidsLab was founded in spring 2018 by Prof. Michael Harasek and Prof. Margit Gföhler as joint lab of two faculties of the TU Wien - the Faculty of Technical Chemistry and the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.
