The aim of the research project was to systematically present the legal basis for the integration of alternative mobility services (in particular sharing) in residential construction, to show how the legal provisions are applied in practice and to identify legal obstacles to the integration of sharing in residential construction. Based on this, guidelines for action have been developed, which, on the one hand, provide recommendations for the implementation of sharing in the housing sector within the existing regulatory system and, on the other hand, point out possibilities for adapting the existing legal framework.

The greatest challenge in integrating alternative mobility services into residential construction is ensuring their long-term financing and operational security. While the existing legal framework permits implementation in principle, the guideline demonstrates how this integration can be organised efficiently. At the same time, recommendations for improving the legal framework were developed based on international examples and discussions with practitioners.
