Graduation ceremony 2025: On the pulse of time with the Real Estate MSc

There are trends that pass, there are innovations that come to stay and there are timeless values that lose none of their appeal over long periods of time. The graduates of the MSc program “Real Estate Investment & Valuation” received their Master's diplomas at this year's graduation ceremony in May in the company of their loved ones. This degree is of lasting value, and at the same time this course keeps you in touch with the latest trends, even after graduation, via Lifelong Learning and our alumni association.

University of Technology

The fact that our new alumni have earned the MSc degree at a technical university was made clear to those present right at the beginning of the ceremony in the festive venue “Kuppelsaal” of TU Wien, as the event was translated simultaneously and AI-supported via MS Teams on a screen for the first time - from German to English or in the other direction, depending on the speaker. The live subtitling and simultaneous translation tool is not yet perfect, but the progress made in this area in recent years has been so extensive that the results are by now very impressive. Together with the MSc graduates, alumni of the MBA programs also received their degrees. The MBA programs, which were recently voted the top MBA programs in Austria by “Industrie Magazin”, are made up of international students.  The need for the event to be bilingual was innovatively supported by technically assisted simultaneous translation.

36 years and still not a bit old

The integration of new tools and developments into our daily lives is also reflected in the courses, which are constantly being updated in terms of content while maintaining the timeless aspects of scientific work at the highest level. Generations of real estate managers and company founders have been attending real estate courses at TU Wien for 36 years now and the demand continues unabated.

Keynote speech and BZP Award

In addition to course director and Dean of Studies Prof. Dr. Bob Martens, there was also an alumni speech by Caroline Bauer, who gave an emotional review of the course. During the event, Guido Zorn from the law firm Bischof + Zorn + Partner Rechtsanwälte GmbH presented the BZP Award, which is awarded for a very successful thesis with a legal focus. This year's winner was Maximilian Pischulti, whose thesis was entitled “The role of subcontractors in public procurement law in the construction industry”.
