Atlassian on-premises products will no longer be available from March 2029

TUcoLAB and TUjira will no longer be available in their current form from March 2029; Campus IT is working on an alternative solution.

Dear users,

We would like to inform you that the manufacturer Atlassian will discontinue Confluence and Jira in the Data Center version we use on March 28, 2029. This means that as of the end of March 2029, we will no longer be able to use TUcoLAB and TUjira in their current form.

What does this mean for you specifically?

We are working on alternative solutions and coordinating with other Austrian universities. Until then, we will continue to operate the existing services.
Our goal is to continue to provide the current scope of services in a comparable form in the future and to ensure an uninterrupted and smooth transition with as complete a migration of information and data as possible to the chosen alternative solution.
TUjira (currently running as a proof-of-concept) will not be expanded into a regular CIT service, and the acceptance of new customers will be stopped immediately.

We will use the time until the manufacturer discontinues the service to prepare for a smooth and seamless transition to the selected alternative solution. We are happy to support you in overcoming any individual challenges you may face during the transition process.
