Call for applications 2026
Erasmus+ is an EU programme for education, training, youth and sport that opens up many opportunities for international cooperation. Deadlines for actions in the field of higher education - KA2, Jean Monnet Actions and Networks:
- Jean Monnet Actions and Networks: 3 February 2026 (submission to EACEA)
- Capacity Building in Higher Education: 10 February 2026 (submission to EACEA)
- Erasmus Mundus Action: 12 February 2026 (submission to EACEA)
- Cooperation Partnerships: 5 March 2026 (submission to the national agency)
- Alliances for Innovation: 10 March 2026 (submission to EACEA)

Scientific & Technological Cooperation (WTZ)
Grants to cover researchers' mobility (travel costs and costs of stay) as well as project related material costs.
Application requirements: a concrete scientific project with secured basic funding, in which scientists from the corresponding partner countries will cooperate.
Current calls for proposals:
- Austria-Brazil: Submission deadline - extended untill June 30, 2025
- Austria-Poland: Submission deadline - June 13, 2025
Actions Austria - Slovakia / Czech Republic / Hungary
The Actions promote the development of bilateral educational and scientific cooperation between Austria and Slovakia/Czech Republic/Hungary in all scientific disciplines. In the framework of the Actions are offered:
- various scholarships for teachers and researchers (e.g. scholarships for short-term stays, summer language courses, doctoral students, habilitations, etc.),
- project funding.

Information on Brexit
After the United Kingdom (UK) left the European Union, the respective transition phase, during which EU law and rules continued to apply, will end on December 31, 2020. For this reason, also the unrestricted movement of people between the United Kingdom and the European Union will end after this date.
