The integration of the gender dimension in research and innovation is now usually a standard requirement in research funding. Two questions need to be answered:

  1. Who is involved in the research, and how are equal opportunities and gender balance ensured in the research team?
  2.  How is the gender dimension taken into account in the research design? Gender is a multi-layered and complex topic, the dimensions of which can vary in different research areas. Addressing it effectively in your proposal or project can be a challenge. To help you navigate this complexity, we have published a collection of case studies on our Gender and Innovation page.
