On March 9, 2021 the first virtual meeting with an Alumni of the Automotive Industry MBA took place. Mr. DI Roland Hintringer, Alumnus of the MBA Class 2013 – 2015 talked about his experience with the MBA study and his career development during as well as after the MBA Study.

Mrs. Catherina Purrucker, Head of Management School welcome participants and introduced DI Roland Hintringer, MBA. After his Master study he joined Continental in Regensburg, Germany and worked for injection systems. Afterward he moved to AVL, one of the biggest engineering companies in the automotive industry. Later he became the Tech Center Manager in Steyr. In 2015 he moved MIBA AG, a global automotive supplier as Vice President Technology and Innovation. Because MIBA has a strong portfolio in e-Mobility Business. As the Managing Director of MIBA eMobility he is working on the transition to eMobility Business.

Joining the Automotive Industry MBA was a clear decision for him because he wanted to get more practical insights in the automotive industry and to learn business topics. He searched for an international and automotive industry specialized program. Finally he found the MBA program of the TU Wien which has outstanding curriculum and is dedicated to the automotive industry. Until today he could not find a second MBA program with the special focus on automotive industry. His highlights of the MBA program are excursion to production sites, extension of network with professionals from different business areas and international lecturers from the automotive industry. During the MBA program he became responsibility for whole business areas. It was very helpful for him because he could directly apply the knowledge from the program into his daily business. In the second year of the MBA program he got an offer to join the MBA as Vice President Technology and Innovation. In his opinion the participation in the MBA Program played also an important role to get the job offer.
