Last weekend it was DTM time again at TU Wien.

In the course of the first lecture "Organizational Transformation", Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Monika Kerbl from procon worked together with the participants on the core question “How can companies leave traditional structures behind and handle digital challenges in an agile, creative and cooperative way? They came to an important conclusion: digitalization requires employees acting as designers, space for diversity, individuality and non-conformism as well as an organizational environment that encourages innovation and learning (even from mistakes!).

On the second day, this was immediately implemented and tested in the digitalization lab of TU Wien IT Solutions. Together with the team of Bernd Logar, the participants worked hands-on and playfully on connecting a sensor to a Raspberry Pi and creating an IoT hub. Not that easy and a new challenge for many of the participants. Things did not always work out right away and mistakes happened.

In between there was another highlight. During a pizza business lunch our participants wanted to know what the buzzword "Artificial Intelligence" really means and how it is already being used within companies and even in our daily lives. Dalibor Mitrovic, Lead AI Engineer at viesure innovation center GmbH, kindly stopped by as our guest speaker during the lunch break and answered the questions of our participants while having some pizza.
