Our paper “A workflow for sizing oligomeric biomolecules based on cryo single molecule localization microscopy”, in cooperation with the Faculty of Mathematics from the University of Vienna, was published in PLOS ONE, opens an external URL in a new window. We show how fixed fluorophore dipoles in cryo-SMLM can be exploited as unique characteristic in order to assign localizations to individual fluorophores. Our approach allows determining the size of regular oligomeric structures with a relative error of less than 1%.
