About our project KlimaEntLaster

As part of the three-year funding project of the Smart Cities Demo Call, a cargo bike test is being carried out in Mattersburg, Freistadt and Amstetten. Private individuals as well as businesses can try out cargo bikes in the cities. The rental is organised in cooperation with the municipalities. Furthermore, we are developing a sustainable concept for cargo bike use. The dialogue with the users is particularly important so that the cargo bike rental systems in the regions can exist in the long term and become a role model for many other smart cities in Austria. The focus is on small and medium-sized towns as the potential of cargo bikes cannot yet be used sufficiently in these areas. We make it a tangible experience on site! The concrete implementation of the test operation began in September 2019 in Mattersburg. In summer 2020, Amstetten and Freistadt joined the project.

Our guide for cargo bike sharing for municipalities will be presented at the Austrian Cycling Summit.

About our project RemiHub

In many cities, space is becoming scarce. There is often too little space available, especially for freight transport and logistics. That is why parcels and other goods have to be brought into the city from surrounding areas. In the RemiHub project, we are investigating whether and how public transport areas can be used as city hubs for sustainable parcel logistics.
