Invitation to the presentation and discussion of the findings of the research project LoReMi

On 13 June 2022, Simon Güntner and Adrienne Homberger will present the results from Vienna at TUtheSky.

[Translate to English:] Aufschrift Local Responses to Precarious Migrants

Migrants with precarious residence status are excluded from many services and regular employment opportunities due to their residence status. Many European cities address the resulting problems with local programmes and projects, often in partnership and alliances with civil society actors. The LoReMi project deals with these local measures and strategies for inclusion and the protection of human rights regardless of residence status. Forms of cooperation and division of responsibilities as well as the discursive framings between public and civil society stakeholders in this field are investigated.

Together with local stakeholders and international research teams we will present and discuss urban approaches to support for migrants with precarious status in different sectors. This shall promote options for innovation and cooperation in order to focus on the protection of human rights of all people living in the city.

The event will be held in German with some English contributions to the discussion.

Date and time: 13 June 2022, 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Location: TUtheSky, Getreidemarkt 9, 1060 Vienna, 11th floor
