Education, dialogue or event? Requirements on target group orientated science communication

The international expert conference 'SciCom09' focusses on the players and target groups of science communication and seeks for successful measures and formats.

From November, 16th to 17th 2009 the SciCom again provides a platform to clarify and discuss current and interesting questions concerning science communication.

The main objective of SciCom09 is to bring together the leading experts for science communication in order to enable an interprofessional and transdisciplinary exchange.

Within these two days the participants will have the possibility to discuss the variety of approaches, positions and issues in science communication, to compare existing communicational methods and formats and finally to work out specific propoals for taking effective steps. Particular attention will be paid to measures and formats for children and youths.

The expert conference addresses researchers of all disciplines, Scientific Communicators, PR Supervisors of universities and research institutions, Media Representatives, educational institutions (such as schools, adult education, museums, etc.), subsidy institutions, students of all fields as well as all those who are active in the areas of research, media and educational and cultural work.
