Group size:               8-16 participants

Target group:           All instructors, especially those who want to foster their students' critical attitudes, mindsets, analysis skills in relation to AI-produced    contents and tools.

Learning outcomes: By the end of the course, participants

  •          …have an overview of helpful AI-tools for academic research and writing.
  •          …established a concept of reasonable and responsible use of AI at universities.
  •          … refined their perspective on possibilities and perils of using AI-tools within the context of academic research and writing.
  •          … formulate competence-oriented learning objectives concerning their students' use of AI tools.
  •          … design learning environments and methods to foster these learning targets of their students. 

 

Content:

  •          AI-Tools in academic contexts
  •          media competence and academic research
  •          perils of AI-tools on different levels (e.g. “plausible untruth”, “feeling of knowing”, “sociological biases”)
  •          methods and contexts to foster “AI-competences”
  •          spread cognitions & computational offloading
