As part of our MOVE.Walks excursion and discussion course, we explored Vienna's inner city on 15 May 2025. We got to know a wide range of current redesigns in public spaces, from the prominent PPP projects Herrengasse and Michaelerplatz to Rotenturmstraße and smaller projects such as the Fuzo Postgasse or recreational areas for the residential population. We gained valuable insights into the work of a district council and familiarised ourselves with the procedures and negotiations involved in planning processes between the district, the City of Vienna, and private interests.
