Representatives from the participating partner institutions Graz Energy Agency, Nextbike, TU Wien SRF and MOVE met in Graz to discuss initial research findings and to jointly reflect on and define the research strategy for the next year and a half. All partners were highly motivated - because the cycLINK project is about designing a nationwide bike-sharing system for Austria!

The project will provide an overview of the status quo in Austria as well as examining international good practices. Furthermore, requirements for an Austria-wide bike-sharing system will be developed, as well as a location model for Austria incorporating different qualities and expansion stages, using GIS-supported analyses (demand assessment, accessibility, etc.).

The aim is to design this model as close to implementation as possible, which is why cooperation and financing models will also be considered.
