Consolidation of file servers for students and staff

The currently separate file servers (SWD) of TUsoftware for employees and students will be merged onto one server.

Currently, the installation files for students and staff are hosted on two separate servers. The staff files will now be merged onto the shared, browser-based file server. This completes the modernization and standardization of the previous “Campus Software” and “Student Software” services into “TUsoftware.”

Starting September 8, the standard file server for TUsoftware will be accessible with your browser of choice at https://tuwienacat.sharepoint.com/sites/SWD/, opens an external URL in a new window. The previous server will no longer be accessible starting September 15.

The new server offers an intuitive web interface that is available on all common browsers and eliminates the need to connect to a network drive, which many users found challenging. It is also easy to access from home. The necessary information texts are available directly with the installation files.
