Breaking News: Premiere an der TU Wien Academy for Continuing Education

Good news for all those who would like to complete their Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Management on a part-time basis. At the beginning of last week, the TU Senate approved the new Bachelor's degree course offered by the TU Academy for Continuing Education.

The basis of the course is the university course “Real Estate Management”, which has been tried and tested for many decades and leads to the qualification of “Academic Real Estate Agent and Property Manager” in 4 semesters, as well as to the certificates of competence for the professions of real estate agent, property developer and property manager.

This 4-semester course remains unchanged and now offers the option of acquiring the academic degree “BSc (CE)” by completing further courses and a Bachelor's thesis. “CE” stands for Continuing Education and the new Bachelor (CE) degrees also open up the possibility of adding a Master's degree (CE or classic).

Also interesting for former students of other degree programs

Part of the new Bachelor (CE) upgrade consists of “free electives”, which makes the course particularly interesting for students who have already acquired ECTS points from previous studies, reducing the workload for them. The remaining subjects of the upgrade can be chosen as bound electives, primarily from the fields of spatial planning, industrial engineering or sustainable construction, and here too it is possible to transfer credits from previous studies. Finally, a Bachelor's thesis must be written.

Study part-time and build a network in the industry

Overall, the new Bachelor (CE) offers all students the opportunity to acquire an academic degree who wish to study part-time and at the same time acquire a specific professional qualification in the real estate sector and build up a network in the industry. Applications are still possible, with a total of 30 places available each year. The course fee for the ULG is €16,900, the additional costs for the optional Bachelor upgrade will be published on the website in due course.
