The "LandGeschichten"
By collecting and reflecting on spatial knowledge, everyday experiences, observations, questions and ideas from residents, people living in multiple locations, locals and expats, immigrants, refugees, tourists, summer holidaymakers, employees, entrepreneurs, pupils and students, cultural workers and many more. This resulted in a small collection of stories, the Land Stories, as well as a podcast. The results were presented in July as part of the LandUni , opens an external URL in a new windowat Schloss Drosendorf.
The LandUni Platzerl - From concept to construction site to realisation
As part of the course ‘Spatial planning in rural and alpine areas’, various concepts for rural areas in Drosendorf and the surrounding area were developed. These include the caring village, the cooperation forge Grenzenlos and an Apo*Theke against loneliness. One of the concepts, called ‘Freie (T)Räume’, has even been realised! The LandUni Platzerl (square) between Julius-Hermann Straße and Badstraße was built in cooperation between LandUni Drosendorf and the municipality of Drosendorf-Zissersdorf and is available to residents as a place to chat, have a snack and exchange ideas. In addition to the self-made furniture, which was built by students and the Drosendorf restorer Clemens Pultar, shady fruit trees were also planted and a flower bed was sown.
Anyone interested in accompanying the implementation of concepts and project proposals next semester and planning, building, screwing, planting, unsealing, repurposing, organising, negotiating, printing and celebrating together is in the right place at the course ‘From strategy to concept to implementation’ in the winter semester 2024. Registration information will follow in September - stay tuned!
