Spanning two days, the programme started off with the proposal defense of Marianne Pons, PhD candidate at the Research Unit Hydraulic Engineering and Environmental Hydromechanics and continued with a presentation session about current research carried out by colleagues affiliated to similar research groups from partnering universities.
The afternoon kicked off with a workshop on DK Programme experiences and project proposal writing and ended in an interdisciplinary poster session leading into dinner and evening activities.
The second day of the symposium included two more presentation sessions, one about “Risk, modelling and the HOAL”, led by Juraj Parajka and Peter Valent, followed by research topics of the ICC Water and Health, moderated by Ottavia Zoboli, Margaret Stevenson and Julia Derx.
The successful conclusion of the symposium was celebrated with a joint lunch during a boat trip on Lake Neusiedl! Like every year, these two days of interdisciplinary exchange and mutual discussion are an important opportunity to strengthen the network between the research units of the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management as well as Ottavia Zoboli and her team from the Institute of Water Quality and Resource Management.
We thank all attendees for their active participation and Dušan Marjanović and Kingsley Obinna Eze for organizing this year’s symposium!
