The MEA 2025 meeting, opens an external URL in a new window – formally the 13th Meeting on Neural and Electrogenic Cell Interfacing – took place at TU Wien from July 9-11, 2025, bringing together approximately 170 participants from 20 countries.

The conference featured a rich scientific program with keynote lectures by leading experts such as Jürgen Knoblich (IMBA, Vienna), Polina Anikeeva (MIT, Cambridge), Jose Garrido (INC2, Barcelona) and Bernhard Wolfrum (TU München, Germany).

Attendees explored advances spanning novel device fabrication, high-density and multimodal microelectrode arrays, computational modeling, and applications in neuroscience, organoids and bioelectronics.

Organized by the Institutes of Biomedical Electronics and Solid State Electronics at TU Wien (for the first time, previously held in Germany), the meeting also showcased innovative commercial developments. Overall, it provided a dynamic platform for interdisciplinary exchange in microelectrode array innovation and application.
