The Cluster Meeting, opens an external URL in a new window is a biannual conference in Prague, dedicated to the fields of catalysis and surface physics of clusters. This year, three members of our group have received prizes at this conference:

  • Johanna Hütner was awarded one of three prizes for a Best hot topic presentation, for her talk
The unreconstructed Al2O3(0001) surface is metastable and rough.
  • Andrea Conti received one more Best hot topic presentation prize, which means that ⅔ of these prizes were awarded to our group! His talk was entitled
Unraveling the atomic-scale surface chemistry of wollastonite (CaSiO3).
  • David Kugler received a Best poster prize for his poster
Stabilization of the polar spinel MgAl2O4(001) surface by an Al-rich reconstruction

Congratulations!
