DASEINSVORSORGE 2030 - Good basic services for all within planetary boundaries

Around 370,000 people are currently unemployed in Austria, and the country is experiencing the longest recession since 1945. At the same time, we are facing major challenges in the area of climate protection and adaptation. Against this backdrop, security and prosperity can only be achieved through strong services of general interest, which form the basis for social and ecological restructuring. The study commissioned by the Vienna Chamber of Labour from the Vienna University of Technology in cooperation with the University of Vienna shows concrete measures on how a well-positioned basic service not only creates over 450,000 jobs, but also offers solutions to the climate crisis - a step towards an economic policy for the many.
