Our team ‘DrachenBaUm’ takes 2nd place!

Celebrating the 10th DrachenbootCup of TU Wien alumni club

On 18 June 2025, not only did the DrachenbootCup, opens an external URL in a new window celebrate its 10th anniversary, but the team from the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, DrachenBaUm, also celebrated its second place. Well done!

This special race, organised by the TU Wien alumni club, opens an external URL in a new window, takes place every year in mid-June on the Old Danube. Teams consisting of TU Wien students, relatives, alumni, friends and sponsors demonstrate their sporting prowess and team spirit in this event. With 20 paddlers, the DrachenBaUm clocked a time of 57.59 seconds in the final over a distance of approximately 250 metres, securing second place. Training sessions were available in the run-up to the event.
