Children's University at TU Wien Bibliothek

From 07 July to 10 July 2025, TU Wien Bibliothek welcomed young researchers from KinderuniTechnik for two workshops.

Handmade concertina books at Children's University Technology 2025

The workshop “Library 2.0” gave participants aged 10 to 12 a glimpse into the digital transformation of a research library. The 15 square metre 3D video wall in the Data Visualisation Space was a highlight, and the children could also test our new book scanner for digitization projects.

The second workshop, "DIY Leporello", took 7 to 9-year-olds into the mysterious corners of the library. After using a map to hunt for our most exquisite treasures - books ;) -, the kids created their own concertina books to take home.

As every year, it was a joy to welcome so many highly motivated and interested young students to TU Wien Bibliothek.
