BioMembrOS at Navile Day 2025

Partners from the University of Bologna presented a poster from the shared BioMembrOS Project at Navile Day

On May 28, Katia Pellico and Giusi Montante — researchers at the University of Bologna — took part in Navile Day 2025, an event dedicated to showcasing the research activities of the Unibo Navile campus.

Navile Day featured presentations, case studies, posters, patents, and one-on-one meetings, as well as a Recruiting Day with companies from the chemical-pharmaceutical sector. The event created a valuable space for collaboration between academia, industry, and students.

As part of their contribution to the BioMembrOS project, Katia and Giusi presented the poster:
“Computational Design and Mass Transfer Modelling of Biomimetic Membranes for Organ Support”
The work highlights the project's progress in developing advanced biomimetic membranes to support artificial respiration and organ support — a key goal of BioMembrOS under the Horizon Europe Pathfinder programme.

We’re proud to see our partners actively engaging with the broader research and innovation community, and we thank the University of Bologna for hosting this successful event.
