Flexible work arrangements have many advantages - not only in pandemic times. Flexitime arrangements or even teleworking can lead to higher productivity and also to a better work-life balance. But of course such new work realities also bring new challenges. They may make it more difficult to maintain communication and knowledge sharing within the team.

Martina Hartner-Tiefenthaler from the Institute of Management Sciences at the Vienna University of Technology and Bettina Kubicek from the Institute of Psychology at the University of Graz are now jointly leading a research project in which the advantages and disadvantages of flexible working will be examined more closely. Therefore, teams are now being searched for who would like to take part in an online survey. Based on the results of the survey, it should be possible to better plan the work in the team and thus ensure the performance and health of the team members in the long run.
