The presentation took place in the Wolfhaus Dachboden in Nenzing in Vorarlberg. Sibylla Zech introduced the topic with a lecture on the scientific landscape in rural areas.

The diploma thesis “The Nenzing Sky. History, Present and Future” by Clara Kessler sheds light on the extraordinary cultural landscape of the Nenzing sky from the perspective of architecture, spatial planning and landscape planning in the form of an interdisciplinary research project. In addition to a historical analysis and an examination of the influence of architectural and natural spatial structures on the townscape and landscape, the focus is on the question of what a sustainable vision for the future of the small rural-alpine region might look like. The presentation provided insights into the research results and showed maps, plans and photographs that illustrate the history, present and future of the Nenzing sky.

The work will be published in summer of 2025.
