On May 13th, some of our students went on a waste management field trip. This time, we were not only able to visit Europe's largest sorting facility, Triplast, but also visited one of Austria's most successful companies, voestalpine AG. The students were thus able to see not only what excellent waste sorting looks like at Triplast, but also where the recycled material can be used as a reducing agent. The students were not only enthusiastic about the entire field trip, but also learned something for everyday life: "What I will no longer do is stack plastic cups, for example, for yogurt. This makes separation much more difficult. I will definitely pass this on," wrote one student afterward.
