#EoI - Improve your LinkedIn presence: gain visibility online &unlock new opportunities

Workshop

Linkedin became an important network platform to present and position yourself. But what should you do after you add your name and place of work? Let us help you to make the transition from an existing profile to an active appearance.

In this workshop, we will focus on your personal LinkedIn appearance, talk about the dos and the don’ts and dive into how you can make relevant connections as well as contribute to discussions in your field.

At the end of the workshop you will be able to:

  • understand what LinkedIn is and why it is relevant
  • find out how to discover your “why” and align your online presence with your personal values
  • know the best practices when it comes to structuring your LinkedIn profile
  • learn how to develop great and engaging content
  • optimize your profile
  • recognize who is in the market
  • develop a steady posting strategy  

About the speakers

In 2016, Maria Steiner started working part-time as a student in a digital agency. What initially started as a way to earn money soon became not only her full-time job but also her passion. Since then, she worked in the Austrian Federal Chancellery as a social media manager, followed by managing the digital communication department of the Austrian People's Party. Now she is a social media strategist at Campaigning Bureau in Vienna, supporting people in getting the online attention they deserve.


Rameez Okpalaugo is a seasoned growth hacker who has been in the field of digital marketing for the last +8 years. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to found a boutique gym called Gymclub.fitness and Okaygrowth™️, a growth hacking agency that helps companies scale by 10x. With his agency he managed to work as an interim CMO for various companies and startups, from being the Vice President of growth at a fintech company where he automated around 80,000 messages on social media to generating over 1 million euros in revenue for a legal tech startup.

He received his Magistrate degree in development studies and an ongoing master’s degree of environmental engineering, which he will most probably not finish. He is a consultant and coach for startups, helping them find their way to 10x.


About the Engines of Innovation Series

The Engines of Innovation Series organized by the TU Wien Innovation Incubation Center (i²c) is a format that offers workshops to scientists who are seeking to broaden their horizons in the field of innovation and healthy high performance. These workshops are free of charge to scientists from all faculties and institutes of TU Wien. Registration required.
